Nonso Diobi discusses his disappearance from Nollywood in a recent interview.
Actor Nonso Diobi from Nollywood has now revealed the reason for his extended leave from the profession.
The movie star was recognised as one of the biggest stars in Nigerian cinema for more than ten years. As a result of his involvement in numerous movie office successes, he developed a fan base across the country and beyond.
However, he took a break from acting, leaving his fans Confused, as to why he hadn't starred in anything in such a long time.
Nonso Diobi recently provided an explanation for his break from the film industry in an interview with Hip Tv.
He says he left the filming location to go through acting methods. He admitted that he wanted to become a director, actor, and movie producer.
His remarks;
"I basically stated it like this. I constantly take time off so that I can learn new things, change careers, and continue to give my people what they want. And essentially for that reason, I've been absent from the scene for a while and am making a big comeback. I'm currently working on two films, and I'll be letting the public know about them soon.
As of right now, I can formally inform you that in addition to being the familiar Nonso Diobi from films, I am also a filmmaker. I now work as a director. My own films are in production, so very soon my fans will truly get the reason why I took a break. Because I live for entertainment.
