In response to allegations that her pastor was somehow connected to the continuing controversy surrounding the event, Chef Dammy has come forward to clarify the funding for her most recent cooking marathon.
My pastor paid for everything; all I did was cook."
The amazing 120-hour cooking marathon that began on June 9 sparked a lot of curiosity and rumours.
In a tweet in reaction to the claims, Chef Dammy asserted that her pastor and churchgoers were the event's financial organisers.
She made it clear that she was merely serving as the project's spokesperson and had no involvement in the actual fundraising process.
She voiced her displeasure that the initial capital investment necessary to establish the programme was not more widely discussed by critics who were more preoccupied with the funds raised during the marathon.
People frequently criticise the money that is received, but they never inquire about the funds utilised to launch the entire programme, according to Dammy.
The entire cost of this programme was covered by my pastor and a select group of churchgoers. I didn't participate in anything. I just ever cooked; it was everything I did. I merely served as the church's face.
Chef Dammy addressed the rumours that her pastor received a cut of the money made through the cooking marathon and emphatically refuted the claims.
Asserting that more over half of the revenue was still in her personal account, she pleaded with people not to propagate rumours.
Dammy made it clear that the entire money received did not go above the sum spent to start the event.
In fact, the money that was brought in for me does not yet equal the amount that was required to set everything up. Additionally, my personal account still contains more than half of the allegedly received funds. Therefore, please stop spreading rumours about my pastor, "Dammy said.

"The church's face... Let her be herself and not be anyone's spokesperson. The next time she wants to try again, I hope she abides by the guidelines.

"Why can't she hold on a bit longer? She shouldn't be pushed or put under any pressure right now.
