Guinness World Records were broken when a young mother gave birth to nine healthy children at once.
On May 4, 2021, a Malian woman named Halima Cissé and her spouse Abdelkader Arby welcomed nonuplets.
Doctors had predicted Halima would give birth to seven children, according to the Guinness Book of Records, but when she was brought to the Ain Borja Clinic in Morocco for specialised care, two more newborns were discovered.
The nonuplets were surgically delivered prematurely in the 30th week of Halima's pregnancy.
Adama, Oumou, Hawa, Kadidia, Fatouma, Oumar, Elhadji, Bah, and Mohammed VI are the names of the children. The babies consist of four boys and five girls.
It's a lot of labour, but Allah, who bestowed this blessing upon us, will assist us in rearing and caring for them, he remarked.
Before the nonuplets arrived, the parents already had a girl who was 3 years old.
People from all over the world have been interested in the delivery of the nonuplets, and many have expressed their wonder at the mother's capacity to carry and deliver nine infants at once.
According to the Guinness World Records, Halima Cissé's nonuplets are the first known occurrence of a woman giving birth to nine children simultaneously.
