After Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kashim Shettima were sworn in as Nigeria's 16th president and vice president, controversial Nollywood actor Yul Edochie sent his congratulations.
The distraught actor begged to God for the tools he would need to take Nigeria further.
On Monday, Edochie tweeted this message and his congrats to Tinubu and Shettima on taking the oath of office from his official account.
"Congratulations to His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu, our new President and Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria."
@officialABAT, Kashim Shettima is known by the handle @KashimSM. May God grant you everything you need to guide our nation to new heights," he added.
The president was sworn in on May 29 at Eagles Square in Abuja under the supervision of Justice Olukayode Ariwoola, Chief Justice of Nigeria.
Following his victory against Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party, Peter Obi of the Labour Party, and Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria People's Party, Tinubu vowed to defend the integrity and genuine loyalty of the Nigerian constitution.
