JUST IN: NIGERIA Accuses Fuel Traders, Malami Of $2.4 Billion fraud...

The Attorney-General of the Federation was questioned once more on Thursday by the House of Representatives Committee looking into the missing $2.4  in crude.

Legislators questioned Malami about why he didn't follow through on tips from a whistleblower.

Malami said that the whistleblower lacked adequate proof to take action.

"As far as this matter is concerned, there were no reasonable grounds or suspicions justifying the evocation of the National Assembly's oversight function," he stated.

Mark Gbillah, the committee's chairman, disagreed, saying that there is more than enough evidence for the committee to take action.

Contrary to what you've said, the committee has documents indicating storage of specific products, documents demonstrating approval for the lifting of specific quantities of crude outside the country, and documents indicating storage of crude in specific locations in China, Gbillah said. We'll make them available to you.
