Please pardon my immature errors. Funke Akindele is begged by Juliana Olayode.
Nollywood actress Julian Olayode has expressed regret to Funke Akindele, a senior colleague and former boss.
Olayode, who originally came to prominence for her depiction of Toyosi in Akindele's "Jenifa Diary," claimed she felt compelled to apologise to her senior colleague in public.
She spoke in-depth about the issues that led her to stop watching the series in a lengthy post on her Instagram page on Saturday.
"As a teenager, my career in the mainstream entertainment industry began where many people who had worked hard for years could only dream of doing, for a miracle is the only way a neophyte could even start from the mainstream," she wrote.
In my own instance, God's mercy and undeserved favour were clear. I entered the industry by sharing a lead role with a movie goddess who had already put in decades of effort and unheard-of creativity.
"God brought me to public attention through Aunty Funke Akindele @funkejenifaakindele. I was shocked because the level of celebrity I attained by portraying Toyosi in Jenifa's Diary was too great for me to comprehend at that young age, when I had just finished secondary school.
However, because I lacked industry knowledge and had a manager as a guardian who didn't understand how the entertainment business operates, I began to believe Everything he feels and says.
The makers of the sitcom, Scene One TV, who whose complete substance I was unaware of until lately, received an email from my guardian.
I want to take this opportunity to apologise to Aunty Funke Akindele, mdé lè m kó má ra lw, I am extremely sorry for how I harmed you and how the email that was sent hurt you. The tale of my mistakes at the beginning of my career cannot be exhausted in a million words.
I sincerely apologise for all of my past, immature errors. Please pardon me.
I will always love you, Aunty Funke.
