Ibrahim Chatta: AMVCA Snub A Conspiracy Against Me..

Ibrahim Chatta, a well-known Nollywood actor, has talked about being passed over by the AMVCA.

He claimed that because he was not selected for the annual Africa Magic Viewers' Choice Awards, he believes there is a conspiracy against him.

Fans of the actor have questioned why, despite his acting prowess, he was not nominated for an AMVCA award despite his performances, particularly in the movie "King of Thieves," which got nominations in a number of categories.

Chatta, however, asserted that his lack of a nomination bothered him more than the fact that he had never gotten an invitation from the event's organisers.

When speaking on a radio programme, the Nollywood actor stated that he regularly feels like his efforts are not significant enough, which he later posted on his Instagram page.

He explained, "No matter how hard you think you are working, your mates are also working, and the best has to be picked every year. So, my exclusion from the nomination list didn't make me feel bad. But my issue is that I'm not invited, which makes it seem like a plot against me.

"I realise that not everyone is nominated for a category, but at least they should invite me, but they don't. Therefore, I do feel as though—am I not deserving enough of my works? Because I used to witness my younger coworkers, especially some who had recently entered Nollywood, flaunting their various costumes at the event.
Adding that his goal was to win an Oscar before leaving this world, Chatta said he would not let any award reward have an impact on his artistry.

I will win an Oscar before I depart this earth, he declared. Any prize should not interfere with my abilities or my work. It wears you out when you begin to consider not winning an award, and I don't want too be.Oscar is my target".
