The longest cooking hours were previously held by Hilda Bassey Effiong, also known as Hilda Baci, a Nigerian chef.
On Monday at 7:45 a.m., Hilda smashed the previous record held by Indian chef Lata Tondon.
Tondon had prepared meals for 87 days, 4 hours, and 0 minutes.
But as of the moment this report was submitted, Hilda had been cooking for 88 hours, 19 minutes.
To cook for 96 hours is her goal.
She will finish the job on Monday at 4 p.m.
The chef has received a tonne of support, particularly from Nigerians, local celebrities, and politicians.
