Femi Fani-Kayode, a senior member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), claimed that Atiku Abubakar had killed and buried the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Former aviation minister Fani-Kayode claimed that Nigeria owed Atiku a debt of gratitude for decimating the party.
On Friday, he posted a message using his verified Twitter account that included his remarks.
Recall that Atiku, who ran against Bola Tinubu of the APC, is contesting INEC's determination that he is the winner of the presidential election.
Fani-Kayode asserted that Atiku made sure the PDP would never resurge.
He said, "One thing we can't take away from @atiku, the Waziri Adamawa, is the fact that he did it alone and prevented the PDP from ever rising again, something no one else had been able to do since 1999. Nigeria owes him a debt of gratitude only for this.
