Thomas Partey, an Arsenal midfielder, has expressed his happiness for Jorginho, his new teammate.
For the remaining matches of the season, the Italy international will start in lieu of the Ghanaian international for Arsenal.
Partey asserts that Jorginho is the finest player in practise and is deserving of the selection due to his outstanding performance.
Partey had played a significant role for the Gunners club, who had made a surprise bid for the Premier League championship this season, up to the last few games.
In the games against Chelsea and Newcastle, which Arsenal easily won with Jorginho in charge of the midfield, he sat on the bench.
Even though Partey might stay on the sidelines when Brighton comes to town on Sunday, the Ghanaian international is happy for his teammate.
"It is something that always occurs for me. Competition has always been a positive thing for me. Partey told the Evening Standard, "I like it.
"I am so delighted for him [Jorginho] because he was the best in training for a few weeks, and then you see that in the game at the end.
"I am so happy for him," I said.
