Many explanations have been put out as to why so many celebrity marriages have failed.
Christiana Kayode, better known by her stage name Berbiedoll, is a Nigerian brand influencer and the CEO of Berbie Beauty Line. In a one-on-one interview with Potpourri, she shares her perspective on why celebrities don't make good marriage partners.
According to her, celebrity marriages can fall apart for a variety of reasons, and she cited strong media interference as a crucial element.
"One element that might disrupt a relationship is frequently the strong public scrutiny. Celebrities may struggle to retain their privacy, which can cause trust problems in a marriage. Regular contact with the media and gossip can undermine confidence and make it difficult to establish a strong foundation of mutual trust and support,” she avers.
"Celebrities may have high expectations for themselves as well as from the general public and supporters. A marriage may experience additional strain due to the pressure to maintain a flawless public image and to look content and happy. Relationships can be strained and it can be challenging to talk about problems discreetly when there is a constant pressure to live up to unattainable goals.
"Finally, there are huge income gaps, with one partner frequently making significantly more than the other. According to her, this relationship can rise to power imbalances, fears, and fights over money and financial decisions.
Many companies, like Fashion Nova, Etisalat, Jay Finder, Indogo Lux Spa, MTV Base, Hareem Istanbul, Turkey, AGL Cars, Payport, Highlystylish, and CM Luxury Hair, to name a few, have collaborated with Berbiedoll. She once co-hosted the TV programme "Chef Corner" on DSTV channel 189, "Pop Central," alongside chefs Bee and Jazzy.
