The Nigerian chef Hilda Baci, who set a new world record for the longest cooking marathon by an individual, has been criticised by Nollywood actress Esther Nwachukwu for being overhyped.
According to Bendelnews, after the cook reached the milestone, President Muhammadu Buhari, the President-elect, Bola Tinubu, and several other illustrious Nigerians have been praising her.
Nwachukwu responded by urging Nigerians to quit overhyping the Akwa Ibom-born chef in a video message posted to her social media profile.
She claimed that she did nothing particularly noteworthy.
""So guys, no be only Hilda sabi cook," she stated after posting a video of her kitchen setup. All you guys do is praise Hilda. What exactly did she do? Why are you guys praising Hilda Baci as if she is the only one in the world who can cook?
"Did you realise that there are persons in this nation who are better cooks than Hilda? We can stand for 100 hours straight and continue to cook. I am that person. I can stand for countless hours and cook continuously.
