Timi Frank issues a warning to the DSS over a possible plot to arrest Emefiele.

Timi Frank, who was formerly the Deputy National Publicity Secretary for the All Progressives Congress (APC), has appealed to the Department of State Services (DSS) to take immediate action to thwart an alleged plot to arrest Godwin Emefiele, the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), and force him to resign from his position.

Frank, in response to allegations made by the Coalition of United Political Parties (CUPP) in a statement that was issued on Tuesday, stated that such Gestapo tactics employed by the DSS against Judges of the Federal High Court and Supreme Court in the past must be condemned by all well-meaning Nigerians.

The statement was issued in response to the allegations made by the CUPP.

He emphasised that Emefiele had all of a sudden become a persona non-grata, obviously because of his recent policy on the redesigning of the Naira, not minding that this policy was to help fight corruption and looting that has become pervasive under the APC administration.

He said that Emefiele had become a persona non-grata because of his recent policy on the redesigning of the Naira.

According to Frank, who serves as the Ambassador for the United Liberation Movement for West Papua (ULMWP) to East Africa and the Middle East, members of the administration are allegedly complicit in the scheme.

In light of these circumstances, he demanded that President Muhammadu Buhari issue orders to the DSS as well as any other officials who were involved in the plot.

As Frank put it, "Let us not allow the kind of kangaroo and commando-styled Operation by the DSS that was used to remove a former Chief Justice of Nigeria in the recent past." This operation was carried out by the DSS.

As a result, he issued a plea to all Nigerians who have good intentions to fight against a reoccurrence of this kind of injustice and inhumanity in the nation.

Frank was adamant that the rule of law should be adhered to in the event that it was discovered that a member of the government had broken certain provisions of the laws. He believed that this would be the most appropriate way to address the situation.

He questioned: "Why would any group of people want to remove someone who is trying his best to give some sort of credence to this government – that has failed in all aspects of good governance – It is not only sad but an attempt to worsen the current situation that we are in as a country. It is not only sad but an attempt to worsen the current situation that we are in as a country."

"Is the government attempting to use race as a political trump card? This makes me think of what occurred to the previous Chief Justice of Nigeria, Walter Onnoghen, and the previous Acting Director General of the Department of State Services, Seiyefa; both of them were removed from their positions without any fanfare.

"Many key people in this government have been said to have purportedly committed various illegalities, but none of them have been treated like Emefiele is being treated," the article states.

Emefiele is the only one who is being treated like this." When an injustice is being committed against a Nigerian, you will never find me standing idly by and watching it happen.

Frank continued by saying that the current government is aware that the only way it can win an election is by purchasing votes; as a result, Emefiele is no longer in their good graces.

He cautioned the DSS and their cohorts in government to desist from this illegality for which they had purportedly "procured" an illegal court order to mask their nefarious intentions. This was done in an effort to cover up the fact that they were planning something nefarious.
