SOCCER: Del Bosque Declears Messi the greatest player of all time.

Lionel Messi, the captain of Argentina, has been named the greatest player of all time (GOAT) by Vicente del Bosque, a former coach for Spain. del Bosque ranked Messi higher than Cristiano Ronaldo, the captain of Portugal.

Del Bosque, who captained Spain to their first-ever title at the FIFA World Cup in 2010, recently disclosed that he made multiple attempts to persuade Lionel Messi to play for Spain in various competitions.

In the debate with Ronaldo, he stated that the forward for Paris Saint-Germain is the player he admires more.

In an interview with Radio Marca, Del Bosque stated, "Messi is the best player I have ever seen." If I had to choose between Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, I'd go with Messi.

"Of all the football players I've known over the course of so many years, Messi has been the most amazing to me because of his consistency and the skill he possesses as a player.

He has had a number of outstanding seasons and has consistently moved his squad in the right direction.

He continued, "I did everything to get Messi to play for Spain, but I was unsuccessful." Lionel, however, did not accept because of the deep affection he had for his nation.
