The Federal Capital Territory Administration has given its blessing to the creation of three new departments, and it has also confirmed four acting directors of the agency as substantive directors.
Shehu Ahmad, the Executive Secretary of FCDA, made the statement during a news conference that took place on Saturday in Abuja.
He stated, "The FCT Minister, Malam Muhammad Bello, has approved the confirmation of four acting Directors of the Federal Capital Development Authority as substantive Directors." The FCT Minister is responsible for the administration of the Federal Capital Territory.
"In a similar manner, the Minister has also given approval for the establishment of three new departments in addition to the appointment of five new Directors."
Mr. Olugbadebo Ademo, Director of Public Building, and Mr. Ferdinand Ezeoha, Director of Engineering Services, are among those whose appointments have been confirmed, according to Ahmad. Other individuals whose appointments have been confirmed include:
Other people involved include Mr. Yahaya Abubakar, Director of the Department of Urban Regional Planning and Town Planner, and Mr. Abdulkadir Tunau, Director of the Department of Engineering Design and Evaluation.
He stated that the appointment of Mr. Celestine Eze to the position of Director of Special Duties in the Office of the Executive Secretary has been confirmed.
In a similar manner, Ahmad revealed that substantive Directors had also been appointed for the three new Departments that had been constituted.
According to him, the individuals who were appointed are as follows: Aminu Aliyu, Director of the Department of Human Resources Management; Hauwa Mohammed, Director of the Department of Finance and Accounts; and Jatto Abdulkareem, Director of the newly created Department of Engineering Infrastructure Rehabilitation.
Others include Director of Procurement Rasheed Salimonu, and Maryam Ameh will be in charge of Internal Audit Department oversight.
He stated that as part of the efforts to ensure that staff members continue to enjoy their entitlements even after retirement, Abioye Musibau, who had retired in acting capacity as acting Director in the Department of Urban and Regional Planning, was confirmed as a substantive Director.
This was done in order to ensure that staff members continue to enjoy their entitlements even after they retire.
Ahmad admonished the newly appointed Directors to demonstrate that they are worthy of the faith that had been placed in them by the FCT Administration.
