The state government of Rivers sealed Atiku Abubakar's campaign office, which is located in the state capital of Port Harcourt and is run by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
On Friday, December 23, the campaign office was sealed as instructed by the state administration in accordance with a court ruling.
According to Kelvin Ebiri, a media advisor to Governor Nyesom Wike, the campaign office violated an executive order that forbids the placement of campaign offices in residential zones.

The Rivers state administration requested that the location be locked up, and the court agreed.
A political campaign headquarters cannot be located in a residential neighbourhood, according to Rivers State Executive Order 22. The court issued the order to block off the area.
