Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate for the All Progressives Congress, or APC, has denied that he rushed off the stage during a campaign rally in Minna, which took place in Niger State.
Tinubu added that because the gathering that greeted him was so large, he was only able to speak to them for a short amount of time before having to leave to attend other engagements throughout the state.
"A big crowd of APC supporters welcomed the presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to Minna on Wednesday, when he arrived for the mega event," says part of a statement that was released by Onanuga.
According to journalists working at the Trade Fair Complex, which served as the setting for the demonstration, the applauding audience was unparalleled.
Tinubu, who held another successful rally in Kaduna on Tuesday, arrived in Minna that evening for a series of meetings with APC leaders. These meetings took place on the same day.
Tinubu's health situation has been called into doubt by various political stakeholders as of late.
They pointed out that Tinubu's allegedly deteriorating health makes it unlikely that he will be able to carry out his duties as president of Nigeria.
