Prior to their matchup with Manchester City in the Premier League on October 16, Liverpool has been dealt a double injury setback.
Trent Alexander-Arnold and Luis Diaz of Liverpool both suffered injuries in their team's 3-2 Premier League loss to Arsenal on Sunday.
At the half, Alexander-Arnold was substituted for Diaz as the Colombian international appeared to be experiencing knee pain during Liverpool's match against Arsenal at Emirates Stadium. Alexander-Arnold had appeared to sustain an ankle injury from a challenge during the match.
In his post-game press conference, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp did, however, deliver a concerning injury report for both players.
When asked about Diaz and Alexander-Arnold, Klopp acknowledged that neither player's situation appears promising.
"Unfortunately, he is hurt," the German remarked. Both Luis Diaz and both are in bad shape, to say the least. That is the cherry on top. Two devastating blows to our health. Luis and Trent.
Luis Diaz, something's wrong with your knee, it's not good.
