Adamawa police arrest 2 with human skulls

Two persons were detained by the Adamawa State Police Command for having two human skulls and other bones.

Authorities from the command also detained Dauda Yakubu, who is thought to be the person for whom the skulls were transported.

According to reports, Dauda Yakubu rides a motorcycle for hire.

Raji Silver and Nodji Kodji were the two guys found in Garware, a hamlet in the Fofure LGA, carrying the human skulls.

The two males, who are natives of the town of Cholli in the Cameroon Republic, were reportedly detained on Tuesday, October 11, at Garware, according to the police.

According to reports, the commercial motorcycle driver was detained while he was transporting the suspects through the village.

The accused admitted that they had removed the bones and skulls from a burial in Cameroon with the intention of selling them to Dauda Yakubu, who had previously purchased a human skull from them.

They claimed that Dauda turned down their offer to purchase the skulls this time, and that they were apprehended while looking for a different customer.

Suleiman Nguroje, the state police application relations officer, claimed that police officers attacked the suspects when they were out on routine patrol.

According to Nguroje, the suspects admitted to removing the bones and skulls from a burial in Cameroon and transporting them to Nigeria for sale.
