Mikel Arteta, Arsenal's manager, has responded to his team's 5-1 victory over Everton on the Premier League's final day.
The Gunners' three points were in vain, as Tottenham Hotspur beat Norwich City 5-0 at Carrow Road.
Next season, Arteta's team will compete in the Europa League.
It's a major letdown, considering his team was four points clear in fourth place with three games remaining before losing 3-0 to Spurs.
"We knew we needed a miracle, but it never came." The league table is not deceiving.
"We were in the Champions League last season with 67 points, but now we're out with 69," Arteta stated.
