With a 5-0 victory over Heerenveen at the Johan Cruijff Arena on Wednesday, Ajax were named Dutch champions, giving Manchester United-bound coach Ten Hag the ultimate send-off.
With one round of fixtures remaining, the Amsterdam club has extended their record number of domestic league title triumphs to 36, moving to 82 points from 33 games, four points ahead of second-placed PSV Eindhoven.
Ajax clinched the victory with goals from Nicolas Tagliafico and Steven Berghuis, as well as a penalty from Sebastien Haller, all in the first 38 minutes, before Brian Brobbey and Edson Alvarez added two more late on.
It was Ten Hag's final home game before moving to the Premier League after being chosen as United's next coach at the end of the season earlier this month. On Sunday, Ajax will complete their season at Vitesse Arnhem.
Ten Hag's four-and-a-half-year tenure at the club ended with a third Eredivisie title, having also led the team to the title in the 2018/19 and 2020/21 seasons.
