On March 28, bandits ambushed the Kaduna-Abuja train, killing nine passengers and kidnapping 62 others.
Bandits released the Managing-Director of Bank of Agriculture a few days later due to his age.
The bandits told the Federal Bureau of Investigation that they had distributed many videos of the kidnapped victims.
Sheikh Ahmad Gumi, speaking at a special prayer service organised by the Jama'iyyar Matan Arewa (JMA) in Kaduna for the deaths, urged the Federal Government to pay the bandits a ransom.
"Imagine now, people are paying up to N25 billion to buy forms rather than using the money to pay ransom for needy Nigerians who cannot pay," he says.
"Give them anything they want so that they can liberate these folks, and once they're released, you're free.
