A Nigerian man has been charged with stalking a woman in the United Kingdom.
Oluwaseyi Elemide, a 26-year-old accountant, acknowledged stalking a beautician he didn't like after harassing her, breaking her London salon windows, and sending unwelcome emails.
Between July 20 and July 27, last year, he harassed Demi Witter at her Lavender Hill salon in Battersea, bringing a gift of tea and a note, banging on the salon windows, and following her on Instagram, according to Mail Online.

The University of Northampton graduate even wrote her the awkward romantic poetry "Roses are red, violets are blue," according to the court. We look like a tailored three-piece suit with elegant shoes.'
Elemide, a Nigerian-born Putney resident, pleaded guilty last July to stalking Ms. Witter, 28, causing considerable concern and distress.

'His behaviour is unsettling, and I am scared he will wait outside and follow me home,' Ms. Witter claimed in a victim impact statement. He showed up three times in a week without warning.
'I believe he is smitten with me, and as a result, I feel stressed and anxious.' I have to work with the door locked because I'm terrified he'll confront me outside.'
Elemide contacted Ms Witter, who dropped out of college to establish her business, on the street, according to prosecutor Corran Helme.
'He sought to engage her in discussion and informed her that he had his own firm and was engaged in an arms-length business level,' he told the court.
'She provided him her business card and got an email from the defendant a week later detailing how he might assist her business, to which she answered that no assistance was required.
He did not, however, quit and began following her on Instagram. He wrote her an email after she blocked him.'
'How are you doing?' Elemide wrote. On Instagram, some of the content seemed interesting. 'What did I do to deserve being blocked?'
He then went to the victim's busy salon and left a box of teabags and a card wishing her good luck.
Ms. Witter ordered Elemide to grow up and inquired about his age, emphasising that he was not welcome at the salon and that if she saw him again, she would contact the cops.
He returned to the salon window two minutes later, presenting the victim a post-it note with his age inscribed on it.
Elemide even attempted to make an appointment at the salon by emailing Ms. Witter with the following message: 'Hi. I'd like to make an appointment to have my brows done.
'Jesus Christ,' he said as she pleaded to be left alone. 'What the f**** is your issue?'
At 5.45 p.m. on July 27, Ms. Witter and her female business partner were alone in the salon. Mr Helme stated, "Suddenly there was a loud beating on the window and the defendant was there again."
'They were terrified and huddled behind one of the salon's screens.'
'He had a difficult time during Covid, and his restaurant business folded, and he is now working full-time as an accountant for a television and film production company,' Elemide's lawyer Alex Mullen told the court.
'He graduated from the University of Northampton with a degree in accounting and finance, and his obsession has landed him in court.'
Elemide was sentenced to a 12-month community service order, which involves 50 hours of community service and up to 20 days of suggested activity.
He was also ordered to pay £85 in costs and a £95 victim surcharge, as well as an indefinite restraining order forbidding him from contacting Ms. Witter or going to the salon.
