2023: Please don't abandon me right now-Atiku Begs

Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, a presidential candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party in 2023 and a former Vice President, has pleaded with the party's delegates in Katsina State to support him and not forsake him in the upcoming presidential primaries.

While adding that the Katsina people have always supported him, Atiku said that the APC stole his election results in Katsina and four other states in 2019, advising them not to repeat the mistake in 2020.

He claimed that the APC falsified the election results in Katsina State during the 2019 general elections. They also stole our results in Kano, Kaduna, Borno, and Yobe states. So, I appreciate the people of Katsina State for voting for the PDP, and I hope you will not let them steal your vote this time."

"My brothers and sisters from Katsina, first and foremost, you are the people who initiated me into politics," Atiku stated while speaking to delegates from Katsina at the PDP state secretariat. Second, you are the ones who taught me about politics, and most significantly, I would not be where I am now without the Katsina people's support.

Atiku then went on to elaborate on the five major areas on which he intends to focus if elected president in 2023.

First and foremost, he promised to bring Nigerians together, restore security, law and order, and ensure that everyone feels like they belong.

Atiku also promised to restructure the economy and address issues in the Nigerian educational system, accusing Buhari's administration of being oblivious to university closures around the country.
