Former Lagos State Governor and APC national leader Bola Tinunu, as well as the Vice President, are the main contenders for the region's single APC ticket.
When asked how the area might avoid the coming split caused by some stakeholders in the South West's presidential ambitions, Osinbajo said talks are ongoing to find a consensus candidate.
"I believe deeply in Yoruba elders and leaders' wisdom, and consultations are always ongoing," he stated.
"I am certain that we will settle our disagreements and achieve an agreement on a path ahead very soon."
