As the House of Representatives considers a measure to outlaw cross-dressing in Nigeria and sentence offenders to six months in prison, Bobrisky has made a statement claiming that he is a woman, not a crossdresser.
The bill, which was read on the House floor on Tuesday, April 5, seeks to outlaw cross-dressing with the exception of individuals who do it for fun.
Cross-dressers will be condemned to 6 months in prison if the proposed law is passed.
Bobrisky reacted by posting on Instagram that he has done many operations to change his sex and that those surgeries are permanent, thus he is a woman, not a crossdresser.
He maintains that he has his lawyers and physicians on his side, and that he has nothing to worry.
