Bishop David Oyedepo, the President of Living Faith Church, popularly known as Winners Chapel Worldwide, has criticized President Muhammadu Buhari for the failures of his administration for the second time in as many months.
During the Easter Service at his church, Oyedepo stated that he was always aware that Nigeria was on the verge of a waterloo under the Buhari administration because God had placed his trust in him.
The priest, who has been a vocal critic of the current regime, has previously branded Buhari as a "mistake" that Nigerians committed in 2015.
He went on to describe Nigerians as a nation with a "short memory," which is particularly apt when candidates for the president in 2023 begin to indicate their interest in running.
"There are some people in whom God places His trust. Because of their love for Him, not because of their previous experience or age, they have been chosen. I had a feeling Nigeria was on the verge of a calamity. He placed his trust in me. They are being subjected to torture.
Someone recently inquired as to whether or not they knew why Bishop had stopped. He screamed and screamed, but no one could hear him. What exactly am I going to gain from it? Will I be elected as a result of it?
I have made a firm stand in my faith in Christ. Now they're back at it, misleading you once more, what a bunch of folks with short memories.
