Delta 2023 Guber Race: Omo-Agege Declears Interest For Governorship .

Ovie Omo-Agege, the Deputy President of the Senate, has launched his candidacy for governor of Delta State in 2023.

Mr Omo-Agege, an All Progressive Congress (APC) chieftain, represents Delta Central District.

He made the announcement on Thursday in Effurun, Delta State, at the Federal University of Petroleum Resources.

Senator McConnell claimed that his record as a senator speaks for itself. In both 2015 and 2019, he stated that he had kept all of his promises to the constituency.

He expressed gratitude for the support he has received from his constituents.

"With President Muhammadu Buhari's support, as well as that of the Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, and the senators in the ninth Assembly, I have kept all of my pledges to my constituents."

"In practically every community in the eight local government areas in my electorate, I have erected solar-powered water boreholes. By installing new transformers in all of their towns, I was able to increase their power supply.

"Schools were furnished and refurbished, roads were rehabilitated, and by God's grace, a new federal polytechnic and a Nigeria Law School campus were drawn to the state under my watch, among other things."

He stated that he needed to get out of his comfort zone in order to help Delta grow in other areas. As a result, he announced his intention to run for governor.

Mr Omo-plan Agege's to create a new Delta State is based on "Employment & Empowerment, Development, Good Governance, and Enduring Peace and Security (EDGE)," according to him.

"We must not remain silent when the PDP marginalises us." Mr Omo-Agege stated, "The time has come for us to take control of our destiny and say enough is enough."

Victor Giadom, the APC's National Vice Chairman for the South-South, claimed Delta was ready for the APC to take charge.

"PDP in Delta has been given notice to pack up their belongings and leave. He gave PDP in Delta a final departure warning.

Despite the vast resources available to the state, O'tega Emeror, a Delta APC chieftain, claimed that the ruling PDP had caused economic failures in the state.

"Those who claim there is no APC in Delta are lying, based on the large audience that has gathered here today. I implore you to vote for the APC to win control of the state," he urged.

Mr Omo-Agege is "God's choice to liberate Delta," according to Jones Erue, the state's former APC leader.

"I am delighted that in my lifetime, there will be a change in governance in Delta," said Frank Kokori, a well-known labour and pro-democracy campaigner.
