Breaking: 'I hope that even my worst critics remain on Twitter'-Elon Musk Stated After Purchasing Twitter

Elon Musk, a billionaire, has delivered a strong statement to opponents by purchasing Twitter, a microblogging and social media network, on Monday.

On Monday night, Twitter reported that Musk had reached an agreement to buy the company for $44 billion.

The 50-year-old paid $54.20 per share for the company, which was the same price he offered on April 14.

Musk, on the other hand, asked his opponents to stay on Twitter because that is what free expression entails, in a post sent late last night.

"I hope that even my harshest detractors remain on Twitter, because that is what free expression entails," he tweeted.

Earlier this month, Musk made an offer to buy Twitter for $43 billion.

According to Forbes, Musk is the world's richest person. He announced the offer in a filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission.
