AFCON 2023: The Super Eagles have been placed in Pot 1 ahead of Tuesday's draw.

Today will be the draw for next year's Africa Cup of Nations.

Nigeria has been assigned to Pot 1 for the tournament.

The Super Eagles are one of the 12 seeded teams in the draw.

Senegal, Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt, Cameroon, Algeria, Mali, Cote d'Ivoire, Burkina Faso, Ghana, and the Democratic Republic of Congo are among the other nations in Pot 1.

The draw will take place in the SuperSport studios in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Based on the official FIFA ranking issued on March 31, 2022, the 48 countries that qualified for the second round of the qualifiers were placed into four pots.

The teams will then be divided into 12 groups of four teams (Groups A through L), with the top two teams from each group qualifying for the Cote d'Ivoire competition.

The draw will be handled by Samson Adamu, CAF Director of Competitions, with the assistance of Lucas Radebe of South Africa and Solomon Kalou of Ivory Coast.
