Peter Obi, the former governor of Anambra State, has prophesied that in the next 2023 general elections, he will emerge as a consensus candidate for the entire country.
On Saturday, the presidential hopeful told journalists at his Onitsha GRA mansion that he had substantial backing from all major parties in the country.
He stated that he would ensure adequate consultations and that the person best suited to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari will be chosen in the end.
"They didn't indicate it was from a certain section; it might be consensus for Nigeria, and we'll be debating everything as we move around."
"It's possible that I'll be the consensus candidate." "I agree that we will talk to each other and, in the end, we will determine who is the best candidate for the job," he stated.
Obi advised Nigerians to examine and question contestants in order to learn about their previous successes and failures, emphasising that his antecedents will speak well of him.
