Reno Omokri, a former advisor to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, has predicted that Minister of Transportation, Mr. Rotimi Amaechi, will lose the presidential election in 2023.
Omokri also attacked Amaechi, accusing him of selling his brother to outsiders.
He said this in response to Amaechi's weekend presidential statement.
Amaechi has expressed interest in becoming President Muhammadu Buhari's successor in 2023.
On Saturday, the minister made the news at an All Progressives Congress (APC) thanksgiving service in Rivers state.
"Today, I stand before you to declare my desire and submit my candidacy to serve as your future President," Amaechi said.
In response, Omokri claimed in a tweet on Saturday that Amaechi should have been in charge of rescuing the Nigerians kidnapped by terrorists in Kaduna instead of declaring for the presidency in 2023.
"See the man in charge of rescuing the almost 100 Nigerians kidnapped by terrorists after last week's Abuja-Kaduna train bombing!" he tweeted.
"Even in Rivers, Amaechi will lose, because even your buyer will not believe you if you sell your brother to outsiders."
