Sport: You're not even close to Mbappe's level.

Vincent Aboubakar, the captain of Cameroon, has slammed Egypt captain Mohamed Salah ahead of their 2021 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, semi-final match on Thursday night.

Salah is not on the same level as Paris Saint-Germain striker Kylian Mbappe, according to Aboubakar, who is now the AFCON top scorer for 2021.

Salah did not impress the 30-year-old, according to him, and the Liverpool star does not create much in the game.

Aboubakar told RFI, "He [Salah] doesn't inspire me much."

"I tell it plainly because I am an honest person with my own point of view. I'd say he impressed me if he did. But he doesn't make an impression on me.

"He's a good player who scores a lot of goals, but he doesn't contribute much to the game." Of course, he's performing well in the Premier League because he's part of a club that has been there for a long time.

"He's a good player, but not on the same level as Mbappé."

Cameroon's Aboubakar was the hero of the 2017 AFCON final in Gabon, where they defeated Egypt with Salah in play.

On Sunday, the winner of today's match between Cameroon and Egypt will face Senegal in the AFCON final.
