Sport: Popular Ex-Eagles manager dies at 92

POLITICS NIGERIA reports that football administrator Peter Osugo, called PECOS, has died.

The Nigerian national team was dubbed Green Eagles by Osugo, a journalist who was the Editor of the Sunday Times.

PECOS' died at the age of 92 and was revealed in an official statement signed by Leo Osugo on behalf of the family on Thursday, February 3, 2022.

PECOS published sharp articles about Nigerian current events and international sports.

The deceased was an exceptional athlete in his younger days, hailing from the Umu-Obi Osugo Royal family of Ase Community in Ndokwa East Local Government Area of present-day Delta State.

He assisted the late Israel Adebajo in managing the Stationery Stores throughout the club's glory years, in addition to managing the national team as Team Manager.

The Osugo family has received condolences in honour of their loved one who recently passed on to glory.
