Romanus 'Natty' Amuta, a veteran Nollywood actor, has died.
Chukwuma, his first son, confirmed his father's death. At the age of 79, the actor died in a Lagos hospital on Wednesday, February 9th, 2022, after a long battle with illness.
Mr Romanus was best known for his role as 'Natty' in New Masquerade, a popular Nigerian television sitcom.
He was also known for his roles in films such as Lion Ginger, Eagle's Bride, Ijele, and others.
Romanus worked in the media with the Daily Times Newspaper before breaking into the spotlight as the star of the New Masquerade sitcom.
