Few hours after reporting the departure of Coach Hassan Abdallah, the Heartland Football Club of Owerri named Erasmus Onuh as their new coach.
Coach Abdallah's resignation prompted this development.
Former Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) champions reported their former coach, Erasmus Onuh, was immediately replaced.
The beleaguered club announced this in a statement issued by the club's Media Director, Solomon Onu, on Sunday in Owerri, the capital of Imo State.
Onuh will resume his role as Technical Adviser for the NPFL's beleaguered Owerri team, according to the Naze Millionaire.
The former ABS tactician's first assignment, according to the publication, would be against Gombe United on February 9, 2022, at Dan Anyiam Stadium in Owerri.
"Onuh is expected to guide Heartland FC out of the relegation zone, where they are currently ranked 19th on the log with 7 points from a possible 30 in 10 games," according to the statement.
Because of his extensive resume, Onuh is highly recognised by the club's administration.
ABS, Jigawa Golden Stars, Sunshine Stars, Niger Tornadoes, Heartland FC, and the home-based Super Eagles are among the clubs he has coached.
