EPL: Reasons Lacazette Wants Follow Aubameyang Out Of Arsenal Revealed

Alexandre Lacazette, an Arsenal striker, is in talks to return to Lyon when his contract at the Emirates ends at the end of the season, according to L'Equipe.

The Frenchman has turned down Arsenal's offer of a new contract.

Lacazette has been given a one-year contract extension by Arsenal, but he is looking for a long-term deal elsewhere.

He is expected to return to Lyon, the club he left for England in 2017 for a club-record £46.5 million transfer fee.

Lyon's president, Jean-Michel Aulas, has previously stated that the club will "do all possible" to reclaim the 30-year-old in June.

Director Vincent Ponsot has already confirmed their enthusiasm.

Ponsot remarked, "We've seen the maturity he's gained."

"We've always kept in touch with him." Bringing in big players, on the other hand, is always a challenge."

This means Lacazette will depart the club in the same year as his close friend Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Lacazette took over as captain from Aubameyang, who had been stripped of the armband in December.
