He won the award over Kieran Culkin for Succession, Brett Goldestein from Ted Lasso, and Billy Crudup and Mark Duplass from The Morning Show.

On Sunday, January 9, actor O Yeong-su from the Squid Game was one of the Golden Globes winners.

The South Korean actor won the prize for Best Supporting Actor In A TV Drama for his role as Oh Il-nam, also known as Player 001, in the smash Netflix drama.

He won the award over Kieran Culkin for Succession, Brett Goldestein from Ted Lasso, and Billy Crudup and Mark Duplass from The Morning Show.

O Yeong-su has been the oldest male actor to ever receive a Golden Globe, at the age of 77. But he's still a long way from becoming the oldest Oscar winner ever, with Ennio Morricone, who won Best Score for The Hateful Eight at the age of 87, still holding the record.

In Squid Game, O Yeong-character su's was introduced as a friend for protagonist Seong Gi-hun, only to become the centre of one of the show's biggest surprises.

At this year's Golden Globes, he was the only winner for Squid Game, which was also nominated for Best TV Drama and Best Performance In A TV Drama for Lee Jung-jae.
