#Novak #Djokovic was 'arrested' in #Australia just hours after winning a #visa appeal.

Novak Djokovic is claimed to have been arrested by the Australian authorities just minutes after winning a court battle over the manner in which his Australian visa was cancelled.

Ksenija Pavlovic McAteer says that the world No. 1 tennis player has been detained, despite the fact that the verdict stated that he was free to leave the detention centre where he had been held.

The Australian government "wants to deport" Djokovic, according to McAteer, who spoke with his father, Srdan Dokovic.

When he arrived at Melbourne airport early last week after his visa was rejected, the 20-time Grand Slam winner was held in a government facility.

He won his case in court on Monday, January 10. His visa cancellation order was eventually overturned, and he was immediately released from detention.

Regardless of the ruling, Djokovic is expected to be prevented from competing in this month's tournament in Melbourne and deported by government officials.

He was arrested shortly after his court hearing finished on Monday, according to The Pavlovic Today, and his legal team is currently weighing their options as they prepare a response.

The Australian government, according to reports, is keen to deport Djokovic and is striving to do so as soon as possible. His deportation is claimed to be "in the works."
