MACBAN begs Buhari to ignore Ortom's calls to designate us terrorists.

MACBAN, the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria, has stated that it is not a terrorist group.

Baba Ngelzarma, MACBAN's National Secretary, stated the Federal Government should reject the request to outlaw the organisation.

Remember that Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State pushed the federal government to label MACBAN, Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, and FUNAB as terrorist organisations.

MACBAN, on the other hand, has helped to the state's peacebuilding, according to Ngelzarma.

The MACBAN Secretary stated in a statement that the organisation had spared no effort in assisting the people of the state in living in peace with pastoralists.

"We are not surprised at Gov. Samuel Ortom of Benue State's recent call for the proscription of our association (MACBAN)," according to Ngelzarma, "going by his antecedents, whose stock in trade is fanning the embers of hatred between peaceful Nigerians who have been living in peace for many centuries."

As a result, we urge the federal government to disregard this unpatriotic appeal from a rogue governor hell-bent on plunging the country into avoidable chaos.

"MACBAN is not and will never be a terrorist group," says the statement.

"We are completely registered with regulatory agencies and have a clear vision and objective to promote peaceful coexistence among our throngs of members while also positively assisting humanity.
