In Bayelsa, two teens were apprehended for attempting to use a 14-year-old female for rituals.

On Monday, a 14-year-old girl was rescued in Bayelsa State from two youths who were allegedly attempting to use her for money ritual purposes.

The two 16-year-old lads were apprehended in the early hours of Monday, January 3 at Sagbama Federated village in the state's Sagbama Local Government Area.

The boys allegedly lured the girl to an unfinished building with their prepared charm to carry out the operation, but their luck ran out when they were caught by a passerby who suspected their 'evil' behaviour.

One of the youngsters is reported to be the son of the Amanana-owei community's traditional ruler.
