Champions League: Tuchel says that five of the best players will not play in the Zenith vs. Chelsea game because of the Champions League rules.

Ahead of Chelsea's Champions League match against Zenith, manager Thomas Tuchel has picked five of his best players to miss the clash.

Chelsea will be looking to bounce back from a 3-2 loss to West Ham United in the Premier League on Saturday.

With 12 points from 5 games, Chelsea presently leads Champions League Group H, while Real Madrid are third with 4 points from the same number of games.

Ben Chilwell, N'Golo Kante, Trevoh Chalobah, Mateo Kovacic, and Jorginho will miss the encounter against Zenith, according to Tuchel.

"Injuries and the schedule put us under a bit of an acute stress. We struggle when we have injuries in certain places, such as center midfield. Tuchel believes that the problem is not the game on Tuesday, but the one on Saturday.

Our first game was against West Ham, followed by a second game versus Zenit. After a day off and a strong training session, we're ready to go. We have 17 players and goalkeepers to choose from. This Saturday's match at Leeds is a worry for us because we'll get back in the city so early on Thursday, and then we'll play an extremely prepared team."

Jorginho is out as well, as Ben Chilwell, Trevoh Chalobah, Mateo Kovacic, and N'Golo are all out, he said.
