Nnamdi Kanu's younger brother, Prince Kanu, has claimed that the operatives of the Department of State Service (DSS) had withheld food from his brother, who is being held in captivity by the Indigenous People of Biafra.
Due to the treasonous felony accusations brought against him by the Nigerian government and the order of Justice Binta Nyako-led Federal High Court in Abuja, Kanu is now being held by the DSS.
After Prince visited him on Monday, he told him about the alleged miseries his brother endured at the hands of the DSS.
Despite having 21 blood samples taken, Prince claimed in a Twitter post that Kanu had been refused his medical report as well. When Prince visited the imprisoned separatist leader, it was just another visit.
Despite repeated court rulings requiring the Nigerian government to provide him with the medical report, the pro-Biafra politician regretted the DSS's decision.
"Just visited the Alpha Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, at the Department of State Security Services Abuja," read part of the younger brother's statement. He told me that he had been deprived of food since yesterday during our conversation.
The DSS also refused his medical report despite drawing his blood more than 21 times, as if that wasn't enough. They've ignored every court order they've been given."
Aloy Ejimakor, Kanu's Special Counsel, also spoke out against the secret police for their cruel treatment of his client in the same article.
According to what Ejimakor had to say, "Depriving a detainee of food is a form of TORTURE. It's both unlawful and morally repugnant at the same time. Any country that allows it has weakened its own right to jail as a sovereign act."
