Mohammed Nuhu, the Vice Principal of the Junior Secondary School in Yebu, Kwali Area Council, Abuja, has been kidnapped by suspected bandits.

A teacher at the school, who spoke anonymously, claimed that kidnappers armed with high-tech weapons stormed the school's staff quarters.

There were some thugs who locked the quarters, while others scaled the fence and entered the facility, breaking into his flat and stealing him.

In his account, the kidnappers first tied down the gatekeeper before breaking into the victim's home and forcing the door open.

Because to random gunshots, even teachers who are staying in their quarters couldn't come out, he said.

A few days before the attack on University of Abuja staff quarters in the Giri area, there was an incident on Saturday night.

Nigerian Union Teachers (NUT) Chairman Comrade Stephen Knabayi verified to Daily Trust that the vice principal had been kidnapped.

Abubakar Abdullahi Gbedako, who is also the vice principal of Junior Secondary School, Kwaita in Kwali local council, was kidnapped a few days prior to this occurrence.

According to Knabayi, the union has submitted multiple letters to the FCT Administration and various area council chairmen to complain about the constant abduction of its members.

An FCT police spokesman, DSP Adeh Josephine, said she was in a meeting when she was contacted.

Despite her commitment, she had yet to contact our reporter following the meeting.
