Terrorists are constructing schools and hospitals for Nigerians, an Islamic group tells Turkey's president.

Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC), an Islamic advocacy group, has urged the Nigerian government to disregard Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's assertions that Turkish terrorists are currently in the country.

Rather than pursuing “innocent” Turkish nationals, the organization recommended President Muhammadu Buhari to concentrate on the eight bilateral agreements made by the two countries during President Erdogan's visit to Nigeria.

It called Turkish people seeking asylum in Nigeria who are members of the Hizmet Movement "innocent," stating that the Turkish government is simply trying to stigmatize them because of their political disagreements.

According to MURIC, such assertions by the Turkish President are "false, unsubstantiated, and of no consequence," according to a statement acquired by Sahara Reporters on Friday from its director, Professor Ishaq Akintola.

He advised Buhari, on the other hand, to concentrate on the benefits of the bilateral accords inked between the two countries, which would have a positive impact on Nigeria's economy, rather than beginning on a pointless manhunt.

"We warmly appreciate the bilateral agreements struck by Nigeria and Turkey, as they have the potential to support both countries' economic and military progress," the statement said. However, we accept the Turkish president's claim that Turkish terrorists are operating in Nigeria with a grain of salt. It is untrue, without foundation, and of little consequence.
