Imo-Two Traditional Rulers Murdered By Unknown Gunmen

The ssassination of two traditional rulers by unknown gunmen was disclosed by the Imo State Police Command on Tuesday. The incident took place in the state's Njaba local government district.

Mike Abattam, the State Police Public Relations Officer, verified the number of casualties to Vanguard, stating, "Two traditional rulers were shot and killed." They came and attacked them before fleeing. I didn't know if they died there right away, but it was proven that they had perished.

"I don't know the names of these traditional kings, but as soon as I find out, I'll let you know." The incident occurred at 2:32 p.m., according to reports.

Unknown gunmen are said to have arrived in automobiles and motorcycles at the traditional rulers' meeting, shooting two of them and leaving the scene.Other monarchs were rumored to have been injured.

The identities of the monarchs who were allegedly shot dead have yet to be published, but sources suggest that Okwuodor and Ihebineowerri were among the villages afflicted.

The unidentified gunmen "had issued notice long time ago that they were coming to attack and that traditional rulers would also be affected," according to reports.

"These men haven't hid, so these community leaders are aware of them." They confront you and warn you. If you want to see what I'm talking about, drive between Njaba and Orlu town between 9:30 and 11:30 p.m. and you'll see them moving around freely with their guns in the night.

“Sometimes you see them by 8 p.m.,” says the narrator. They claim to be in favor of the movement and to want their land back. I'm concerned that they may even outnumber the security agents. There has to be a solution to this."
