The decision came after Ukoniwe requested a court review of the immigration department of the North American country, which had refused him refuge for his probable involvement in crimes while serving as a police officer in Nigeria, according to Peoples Gazette.
Judge Patrick Gleeson stated that all Nigerians who voluntarily accede to the Police Force of Nigeria despite the fact that the person who committed horrendous crimes often associated with the NPF, would be guilty, through association before the Canadian judiciary and the United Nations Convention on the Status of Refugees.
