The great guitarist, Sir Victor Uwaifo is dead.
On Saturday, a close family insider confirmed this to The Nation.
According to the report, he died after a brief illness.In March 2021, he celebrated 80 years old.
Uwaifo is also the first professional musician to get the Member of the Order of the Niger National Merit Honours.
He also served as Nigeria's first Commissioner for Arts, Culture, and Tourism.
