BREAKING: IGP appoints Disu as Kyari’s replacement at IRT



 The Inspector General of Police Usman baba has approved the appointment of Deputy Police Commissioner Tunji disu as the new head of the police intelligence response team. Within the department, it was triggered by the dismissal of former IRT head Abba kyari, who is under investigation for suspected US$1.1 million online fraud. The suspect Abass Ramon, commonly known as Hushpuppi.

 Disu was the commander of the Rapid Reaction Forces in Lagos State and the Director of the Operations Department at the headquarters of the Abuja Forces.

 The new IRT director has a bachelor's degree in English from Lagos State University and a master's degree in public administration from Adequine Ajasin University, Ondo State. 


He has also participated in a number of professional courses at home and abroad, including small arms smuggling training in Botswana, Internet fraud training at Cambridge University in the United Kingdom; strategic leadership courses at the Jos Police Graduate School; and forensics and criminal intelligence courses, including at Lagos University. 


He is a member of the International Association of Police Chiefs, Nigerian Institute of Public Affairs, Chattered Institute of Human Resource Management and other professional organizations.
