The debate of the election's amendment bill yesterday was still inconclusive because the Senate said INEC and NCC would meet to decide whether the electronic result transmission would be possible because some areas were not closed by the internet. The debate about the selection amendment bill produces many diverse reactions in the red and green spaces such as many parliamentarians in APC kicking them and suggest that electronic and manual transmissions must be used for 2023 general elections.
Senator Ali Ndume when talking to several journalists outside the room said the electronic transmission was a tactic by PDP to the 2023 election rig using "Yahoo Boys" like Hushpuppi. Senator Ali said he saw no reason to cry on the problem of transmission of electronic results. Six selections were held in Nigeria and managed by the APC government approved to become credible where Nigerians saw the opposition party win the election that did not occur in the PDP era. PDP should not think APC did this to take advantage of previous elections carried out credible.
Senator Ali Ndume said he kicked against the transmission of electronic results because he was here to represent His people in Borno South. We have no power supply in Borno for the past six months and the transmission system has been destroyed by rebellion. How do we send results when there are no electrical coverage and the internet in my electoral area because many Nigerians live in heaven and don't know some people live in Hellfire. Many Nigerians have no idea of how Borno is and the only choice left for the people I represent is the strength of their selection provided by the constitution. They went to their voting units in the villages to give their voices and ensure that their votes are calculated before them before taking the results to billing centers. Most times, they send people to go with Inec officials to a collapse center to ensure that the results stated in the voting unit are what has been collected, Ndume stated.
The Borno state is very affected by the rebellion as far as people choose in the last election of IDP camps. It was possible because I brought amendment bills to the Senate house to allow people in my electoral district to choose from the validated camps. Electronic transmission results are ruled out completely but in the middle, we suggest that electronic transmission results and voting will only occur where there is internet coverage when confirmed by the Nigeria Communication Council (NCC), he said.
